"John Cena Admits to Making Mistake with The Rock"

John Cena is once again one of the main figures in WWE in recent weeks. He has been a full-time superstar in the recent episodes of Friday Night SmackDown and will be part of one of the main matches at Fastlane when he teams up with LA Knight to face Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.

During one of these shows where he appeared, John Cena shared a moment with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, which you can see in the video above. It was a moment widely celebrated by fans and well-remembered by John Cena. The sixteen-time world champion was interviewed this week by Kayla Braxton for the WWE The Bump show, where he discussed his rivalry with The Rock at WrestleMania 28 and 29 and acknowledged the mistake he made in handling things.

"In the moments we've spent together, I openly admit the first go-round we had competing against each other was probably a professional mistake on my part," Cena said. "I have openly apologized, and the way I've done that is to try to do good business. We did good business, and it was really nice to see a friend. He's really giving of his time, we really had a great talk. That was the first time we'd seen each other since we both publicly apologized for it, and I just wanted to make sure that he heard it from me in person. It was really nice to see a friend."

"Respect is one of my core values. You can find it on every shirt, every hat. Respect is earned, and I believe that mutual respect between peers has to be reciprocal. You have to have a certain frankness and a certain respect to earn that respect. I always say it's like a boomerang, what you throw out comes back to you," he concluded.

The rivalry between John Cena and The Rock in WWE is one of the most iconic and impactful in the history of professional wrestling. This rivalry spanned several years and culminated in two epic matches at WrestleMania 28 and 29. It all began to take shape in 2011 when The Rock returned to WWE after a lengthy absence from wrestling. At that time, John Cena was the face of WWE and the company's top star.

The rivalry heated up as The Rock and John Cena engaged in a series of promos and verbal confrontations. Cena, in particular, focused his attack on The Rock's absence from WWE to pursue a career in Hollywood. Some members of the locker room acknowledged that The Rock was not welcomed by John Cena for that reason. However, over time, Cena changed his mindset and acknowledged that he made a mistake, as he did in Kayla Braxton's interview.
