"WWE denies the presence of The Velveteen Dream at the Performance Center."

"The Velveteen Dream became one of the most controversial figures in WWE in recent years. Despite his success in NXT, the American professional wrestler was involved in multiple scandals that led to his release from the company in May 2021.

In recent hours, BWE (known on Twitter as Boozer 666) reported the presence of Velveteen Dream at the Performance Center. The story provided by this user, who has been rumored in the past to have inside sources in WWE, suggests the possibility that Patrick Clark Jr. may have rekindled his ties with TKO's company during therapy.

In response to this dubious information, Fightful Select decided to consult multiple sources close to the WWE Performance Center to get their perspective on the aforementioned report. The news outlet noted that more than a dozen recruits denied having seen Velveteen Dream or even hearing about his presence in the past few hours. Several even stated that it would be a strange situation to see him return to the developmental territory.

A WWE authority figure close to Fightful confirmed that the company has no interest in rehiring Patrick Clark Jr. In the report's words, 'something really shocking would have to happen for something like that to occur.' This source reminded the news outlet of the multiple issues that surrounded Velveteen Dream during his time in WWE, such as his behavior towards other talents backstage, his arrests, and violations of the wellness policy.

In 2022, with Triple H taking over the creative team, Patrick Clark Jr. initiated a social media campaign to be rehired by WWE. Despite orchestrating several returns like Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis, and Karrion Kross, there was never any intention on the part of the company to bring Velveteen Dream back. Today, Clark Jr. remains active on social media despite not having wrestled a single match on the independent scene."
