"WWE and AEW have been on the minds of fans all week. NXT's victory over Dynamite in this past Tuesday's ratings is still the main topic of conversation. One that many have joined, starting with Tony Khan, who has been at the center of controversy for a series of highly criticized comments by a part of the community.
Despite their defeat, Khan wanted to point out that, until their direct competition with Dynamite, The Undertaker and John Cena had never been part of a show with fewer than a million viewers. His comment generated a real wave of reactions from fans of both companies and business personalities, many of whom made it clear that AEW is not real competition for WWE.
Among them is Kevin Nash, a wrestling legend known for his critical and unfiltered comments, who, on the most recent episode of his podcast Kliq This, stated that AEW will never be able to compete with WWE.
"They're very good at selling their product. Like what Peacock did with Cody (Rhodes) ... if they want to get more, they can make it feel like an 'ESPN 30 for 30' special. They can make it seem like what this guy is doing is absolutely legitimate... They have that ability," Nash asserted.
"For me, it's like ... AEW is the Staples Center. It's a new stadium, and it has all the bells and whistles, but suddenly, WWE just decides, 'We're going to hold our events at The Sphere (Las Vegas). Now we're going to do our shows at The Sphere.' That's how things are. It will always be like that. You're never going to be able to compete with that, especially with only 17 people on the roster," Nash concluded."
