Former WWE wrestler Matt Riddle has denied allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct. Riddle responded to accusations that he offended independent wrestler Malia Hosaka by entering the women's locker room in his underwear. Journalist David Bixenspan published statements from the alleged victim.
Riddle stated, "The incident at PWX wasn't even an incident. There was only one locker room, which is unfortunately common in the indies, and the promoter told me to change there, so I did. Malia confronted me when I came out, I explained to her that the promoter had told me to change there, she talked to the promoter, and that was the end of it."
However, Hosaka's statements contradicted Riddle's account. According to reports, PWX has two locker rooms for instances when women are present. If there was only one locker room available, women would change first, and then men would change.
Hosaka said, "We were all there, our show was in progress. I didn't know who he was, but he was sitting with his feet up and eyes closed. When I opened my eyes, he was to my right, naked except for his underwear, and I was angry at the lack of respect from the younger generation. For him to enter the locker room to change while women were there and undress was disrespectful." She also added that there was a bathroom at the end of the hallway that was not accessible to fans and that Riddle could have used it. Hosaka expressed her anger at Riddle's actions and his subsequent claims that he was wearing underwear and that it was not a big deal.
